Immersive 3D experience exploring historical places and personalities
The goal of this project is to create an engaging virtual experience where users can explore various famous historical places and interact with renowned personalities as if they were alive. In the "Places" level, users can navigate through different historical locations and learn about their backgrounds. In the "Personalities" level, users can meet and communicate with famous individuals through immersive interactions.
Virtual World is an ambitious project that bridges the gap between education and entertainment through immersive 3D technology. The platform allows users to step into historically accurate recreations of famous locations and interact with AI-powered representations of historical figures. The project features two main modes: Places and Personalities. In the Places mode, users can explore meticulously recreated historical sites, complete with period-accurate architecture, artifacts, and ambient sounds. Each location includes educational content that provides context about the historical significance and cultural importance of the site. The Personalities mode offers users the opportunity to engage in conversations with AI-driven representations of famous historical figures. These interactions are designed to be educational and engaging, providing insights into the thoughts, beliefs, and contributions of these individuals while maintaining historical accuracy. Key challenges included ensuring the project runs smoothly across multiple devices through a web platform, maintaining seamless user movement and interaction despite a web build size exceeding 250MB, synchronizing text-to-speech with personality models, providing smooth and responsive chat functionality, and creating a consistent and intuitive user interface flow across different devices. The project currently includes more than 10 historical places and 7 famous personalities. It features VR videos, text-to-speech functionality, a dynamic chat system, support for multiple languages, and the capability to add more characters, places, and personalities. The platform delivers an immersive and educational virtual experience.
